Animal rescue: Mr bunny's swimming lesson

20 mins ago, Eric saw something hopping along the edge of the pool, followed by the neighbour's fluffy cat chasing at the back. The next thing I knew, the bunny hopped into the pool, and was trapped, not able to get back out.

That poor thing. Eric helped it out from the pool, n it decided to hide behind a rock, with its butt sticking out. -_-"

The cat was long gone, and we decided that the bunny should leave the backyard, or it will fall into the pool again. So I took a dustpan, wanting to carry the now drenched Mr bunny out into the sun.

Eric probe away the rock, and tempt the bunny to move onto my dustpan. But I guess it was still traumatised, it jumped pass the dustpan, hopped along the edge of the pool, and back into water AGAIN!! >_<  (never learn lesson arh?!)

I did not know that rabbits are good swimmer. This Mr-very-fit-bunny swam from one edge of the pool to the other edge, but it could not climb out itself.

So here come my dustpan again, scoping it out from the pool.

By then it must be very tired. It refused to even budge from the dustpan.

So cute!!

Seeing that it was shivering (yes, the pool water is very cold as we just got out from winter), we left it at the bushland across the road in the sun. It took us more than a nudge to 'tip'/encourage the rabbit to hop onto the sunny green grass (refuse to move?!). After a second on the grass, it happily hopped into the bush.

What, no farewell?! =(

Haha, what an interesting experience. Hope you Mr bunny don't jump into the pool again. It's Dangerous!

$10 off Myers voucher

I don't think I've written here on my Myers visit last month.

So, Myers is a big posh retail outlet here. They had this 25% off sale on luggage last month. Eric was quite excited as he had been eyeing this Samsonite mobile office luggage to replace my clinic box for a few months.

We went there after work one day, and realised they had this $10 off when you spend more than $100 in store in one transactions for that day. They had this special broadcast all over the store's PA. Woohoo!

But, we were met with this super duper RUDE Chinese middle age salesman at the luggage department. Normally, Asian sales ppl are quite friendly, especially in big retail like Myers. But oh boy, he is such an exception.

1: Curious about the $10 off special broadcast, we asked if the luggage purchase will be counted, as they had quite a long list of exceptions. He said it is included. (Yay!)

2: We show him the floor stock item which we wanted, and brought it to him to bring us a new one. He did not even look up and see which one we were referring to, let along check it in the system, and just bluntly said: It's the last one. (Lazy man!)

3: Ok.... So if it is really the last one, we have to check properly first then, because it could be there for eons n abused donoe how by ppl already. So we checked inside n outside. I remembered from past experience, the last item usually have further discount.
But... He did not give. =_=

4: Fine, so paid n all, hold on, where is the $10 discount?!
Man, still need us to 'remind' him of our entitlement. Even though it was blaring through the PA system every 2mins. ( think we stupid ah?)

5: looking at the 'voucher' it got us confused as it looked just like a Postcard! The $10 discount came as a 'postcard' size card, which says you can only use it from 2 weeks later till end of the month. Then at the back, there were a big whole list of exclusions. Already not happy with his service, we feel that he may be just randomly handed us a 'card' as a con. So we asked nicely, "how do we use it?"
And you know what was his reply?
.
.
.
.
.
.
"Can't you read?"

WTF!!

Seriously, I feel like throwing the whole suitcase in his face and tell him, I WANT A REFUND AND COMPLAIN ABOUT YOU.

Just thinking about it still makes my blood boil.

Anyhow, on Sunday the last day to use the voucher, we went into Myers again, thinking of what we can buy with the $10 voucher. It has a very small clause, saying that we can only use it with purchase of $10 n over. It can only be seen with a magnifying glass, together with a long list of exclusion items. We saw the same rude Chinese salesman, this time at another department. Not wanting to make our trip an angry one again, we avoided the area.

So we browse around. Not wanting to spend more than a gold coin ($1/$2).

And this is what we bought!

Hope we can use it real soon! =D

Scenarios

A few weeks ago, I had put a scenario out to my friends on Facebook.

I had chatted to my friends, mum and a few of my church friends about it.

If it was  you, what would you do?

The drain was blocked, so had to use buckets for catching the water from washing machine. It was the final rinse and you realised your mum/friend/housemate/dad/husband/wife had wander off elsewhere and had forgotten to keep an eye on the water in the bucket. Water in the bucket is overflowing and flooding throughout the laundry.....what would you do? And why?

A: try stop the washing machine, let whoever know so as to get their attention. Maybe help clean up the mess?

B: try stop the washing machine, let whoever know so as to get their attention. Then go away, since they create the problem, they deal with the mess.

C: try stop the washing machine, not let them know, then walk away. They can deal with it when they realised their forgetfulness.

D: try stop the washing machine, not let them know, then walked away. If they came back n realised of the mess, tell them that you saw it flooding the laundry and had tried to stop the washing machine. Then walked away and let them clean up the mess.

This obviously happened when we found out that the pipes were leaking and we had to stop using the washing machine. The only way we can get by those weeks, were to fill the buckets and carry it down a level to the bottom level's toilet and pour it away. Very heavy and dangerous job, for the stairs are all carpeted and every time, we don't know when the water will be out next! =(

The worst thing was, the IN-LAWS were back. Not one, BUT TWO!!!!

Anyway, what will you do in the above scenario? A, B, C, D?

Personally, A will be my immediate answer, B if I think they can clean up the place adequately themselves.

And NEVER D.
Because if I do that, don't you reckon it is very 欠扁 (asking for trouble), or just plain selfish.

Well... will update on this episode on another day.
